York Redoubt (THE RETURN OF THE ADVENTURES!!!!)

Finally made it out to York Reboubt (National Historic Site of Canada). Cool spot, lots of old harbour defense related stuff. Just outside of DT halifax, a short trip down purchell's cove road. I think the best way to describe this place is a smaller Point Pleasant on a giant slant. While there are some main paths to travel, and old buildings to explore, the random side trails seem to be where all the fun is (caves n such). Parks Canada says this...
Established in 1793 on a bluff overlooking the harbour entrance, and expanded in the 19th and 20th centuries, York Reboubt was a key element in the defence of Halifax Harbour. Visit the Second World War Command Centre, and enjoy the scenic views of the harbour mouth and adjacent coastline. This National Historic Site of Canada is part of the Halifax Defense Complex
(http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/lhn-nhs/ns/york/index.aspx). (Scenic views of the harbour are pretty legit though)

 Ducks in a row

Lots of tables n benches on site. Ideal for things such as, picnicing or having a good ol fashion sit.

reminded me of a wave. wave of fence.

 Secret knock required

 That face in the window

Stairway to heaven?

Nope! Stairway to the ceiling. Odd design.

Now the people will know we were here...(they're little but they are there.)

The naturally occurring granite staircase in the woods.

CAVE! Take the side paths, you might find it.
